Windows file system targeted information recovery

If your computer uses a Windows operating system then any devices connected to it from which you need to recover your lost, damaged or deleted files will need a program for Windows recovery in order to rescue that data. Windows data recovery programs are directly targeted at recognizing file names and content created and stored using the Windows operating system platform. Windows, as does Mac, stores files in a proprietary method.

In the same way that only a Windows computer can read a Microsoft Word document or in Microsoft Outlook e-mail, only a Windows data recovery program can scan through the Microsoft directory system and recognize file types. In some cases data recovery service laboratories will use higher level computer languages such as Unix to locate and recover the contents of an entire hard drive. But when the novice computer owner or operator needs help with data recovery, all that is required is a simple Windows file recovery tool.
